Migration and Border Violence

PAR-MBV is a group of academics working across the School of Politics and Global Affairs, the City Law School, and the School of Health and Medical Sciences, and beyond, on the subject of migration and border violence.

We work with migrant rights’ organisations and other third sector organisations co-producing and co-designing projects and carrying them out on the basis of a participatory action model. The aim of our work is to  challenge the politics of migration that give rise to violence, rely on violence for their implementation, and resist existing systems of accountability for violence.

Overall, we seek to support the missions of our partner organisations to improve the lives of migrants in Britain, as well as those wanting to move here, and beyond, by challenging harmful and violent policies, including border policies, in their entirety.
