Infant Mental Health
Researching infant mental health, including antenatal and postnatal parent-infant bonding and the implementation of successful parent-infant mental health services.
Our research centre has considerable experience in conducting infant mental health research, focusing on the integration of academic research with clinical practice, using qualitative and quantitative methodologies. Our team has also conducted several high impact systematic reviews and service evaluations (see reports and publications).
Our expertise includes factors influencing antenatal and postnatal parent-infant bonding, how to measure this relationship and what is needed to implement successful parent infant mental health services.
To date our work has been funded by NIHR, Society and College of Radiographers, Family Action, Mental Health Foundation, Parent-Infant Foundation and Lambeth Early Action Partnership.
