Call for Papers
As a research centre specialising in commercial and corporate law, CCLC is closely connected with a number of established journals in the field. Members of the Centre hold editorial leadership roles in the journals below, which provide opportunities for scholars to disseminate research and engage with current developments in commercial and corporate law.
International Trade Law & Regulation
International Trade Law & Regulation is a quarterly journal published by Sweet & Maxwell, part of Thomson Reuters. The journal has been published for over 30 years and is edited by Prof. Jason Chuah and Prof. David Collins, both members of CCLC.
The journal publishes full-length academic articles of up to 10,000 words, as well as shorter comment pieces of up to 5,000 words, book reviews, and case comments. Its principal areas of coverage include international economic law, particularly international trade and investment law, as well as international trade, shipping, and maritime law.

International Company and Commercial Law Review
International Company and Commercial Law Review is a monthly journal devoted to international company and commercial law. It provides analysis of recent developments in corporate and commercial law and practice, with a particular emphasis on international perspectives. The General Editor is Prof. Jason Chuah.
The journal publishes full-length academic articles of approximately 5,000–7,000 words and also welcomes shorter contributions in the form of analysis and opinion pieces.

We welcome submissions from researchers and practitioners working in relevant areas of commercial and corporate law. Authors should consult the respective submission guidelines for detailed requirements and submission procedures.
Consultancy & Advisory Services
The Centre will develop opportunities for consultancy and advisory work drawing on the breadth of expertise of its members across commercial and corporate law. Its membership includes academics with current or previous experience as barristers and solicitors, providing a strong combination of academic expertise and professional experience. Members’ expertise covers corporate governance and sustainability, insolvency, banking and financial regulation, commercial law and arbitration, trade and maritime law and data protection and privacy.
Engagement will follow a clear pathway, beginning with initial discussions to identify the client’s legal, regulatory, or policy needs, followed by the identification of relevant Centre expertise and the development of an appropriate scope of work. Depending on the nature of the engagement, this may involve targeted legal and regulatory analysis, commissioned research, expert advice, workshops, training, or longer-term advisory support. Where appropriate, projects may bring together expertise from different members or disciplines to address complex or emerging issues.
The Centre will engage with businesses, professional organisations, public bodies, regulators and other stakeholders seeking research-informed advice on developments affecting commercial activity. Consultancy and advisory work will complement the Centre’s research and knowledge-exchange activities by applying academic expertise to practical issues, generating opportunities for research collaboration and identifying emerging areas for further research.
All consultancy and advisory activities will be undertaken in accordance with the University’s relevant policies and procedures and with due regard to academic independence, professional standards, confidentiality and potential conflicts of interest. The Centre will use these engagements to strengthen its relationships with the legal profession, business community and public sector and to enhance the practical and wider impact of its research.
