Attachment in Fetal Imaging (AFI study)
Parents, professionals, and a pandemic: An exploration of the influence of antenatal imaging on prenatal bonding
Feb 2020 - May 2024
This study aimed to gain a comparative insight into expectant parents' experiences of imaging during pregnancy, and how these experiences may help to enhance parent-fetal bonding. Additional aims were to understand the effect of the COVID-19 pandemic in the United Kingdom on obstetric sonographers.

Role of clinical debriefing in supporting radiography students (Debrief study)
Exploring the role of clinical debriefing in supporting radiography students’ emotional wellbeing during clinical placements
August 2024 - Present
The project aims to: 1) identify the issues faced by student radiographers in the clinical setting that may lead to the need for support using debriefing; 2) describe the experiences and views of student radiographers with debriefing ; 3) describe the experiences and views of practice educators and clinical supervisors with debriefing; 4) identify the challenges and opportunities that may impact the delivery of debriefing in clinical placements

Neurodivergent Experiences of Emergency Departments (The NEEDs Project)
The NEEDs (Neurodivergent Experiences of Emergency Departments) Project: Experiences of Care and Accessibility for Autistic, ADHD, and AuDHD Adults in Emergency Departments
October 2024 - October 2031
1) To explore the distinct experiences of autistic and/or ADHD adults in UK emergency departments, identifying key environmental, procedural, and interpersonal factors that shape their experience. 2) To investigate barriers and facilitators to autistic and/or ADHD individuals accessing and receiving emergency care. 3) To explore how autistic and/or ADHD individuals envisage their ideal emergency department experience.

Exploring AI Leadership Roles for Radiographers
Digital Radiographers: Exploring and Propsoing AI Leadership Roles for Radiographers to Enable Safe and Effective AI Adoption Across Healthcare in the UK Digital Radiographers
October 2024 - October 2031
i) Identify gaps in radiographer competencies and educational provisions needed to transform radiographers into digital leaders ii) Produce recommendations on the key competencies and career pathways for the development of radiographers into AI leadership roles iii) Create role profiles (role description and responsibilities) for different radiographer AI leadership roles iv) Propose educational resources required by potential AI leader radiographers, and help guide their development.

Patient treatment preferences (PTP study)
Treatment preferences of patients with muscle invasive bladder cancer: A discrete choice experiment
June 2022-June 2024
We sought to determine which treatment aspects matter most for individuals treated for muscle invasive bladder cancer (MIBC), with an aim to improve understanding of patient preferences and what trade-offs patients are willing to accept. Our study consisted of a discrete choice experiment (DCE): a type of questionnaire used to elicit preferences in the absence of real-world choice.
